Characteristics and applications of ceramic valves

Ceramic valves mainly include ceramic gate valves, ceramic ball valves, etc. This type of valve is called the nemesis of strong corrosion and strong wear fluid media, mainly because of the advanced structural design, the ceramic valve has the following characteristics:

    1. All parts in contact with the medium are made of zirconia (ZrO₂) ceramic material, which has good wear resistance, erosion resistance and long service life.

    2. Symmetrical design, double seal, no flow direction restriction, can be used in both directions, and double the service life.

    3. Large and independent ceramic flange surface, reliable sealing and easy installation.

    4. The ceramics and metals adopt the hot-matching process, which enhances the mechanical strength and becomes a veritable "ceramic steel".

    5. The ceramic core ball has high roundness accuracy and good surface quality. After grinding with the valve seat, ZrO₂ is used. The self-lubricating properties of ceramics can achieve light torque and good sealing performance, which can reach the world's leading V-class ceramic-to-ceramic hard sealing standard.

    6. The ceramic valve combines the dual advantages of structural ceramics and ball valves, effectively expanding the application range of ball valves. It can not only be used as a shut-off valve, but also can obtain different flow characteristics by changing the shape of the through hole of the ball core. It can be used as a regulating valve under normal conditions.

    At present, ceramic valves have been widely used in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) devices, fly ash, slag removal and combustion (coal injection) systems in power plants, sintering machine desulfurization (EPC) projects in steel plants, flue gas purification in waste incineration and chlor-alkali Industrial and wastewater and solid waste treatment industries.
