Working principle of slurry valve

    slurry valve, also known as knife gate valve, is a valve used to handle slurries containing fiber materials or suspended solid particles. The working principle of the slurry valve is to control the fluid flow rate through the gap between the valve seat and the knife gate plate.

The structure of a slurry valve mainly consists of a valve body, valve cover, valve seat, knife gate, valve stem, sealing components, etc. The valve body and valve cover are the shell of the valve, used to accommodate the internal components of the valve. The valve seat is a component installed inside the valve body, used to cooperate with the knife gate to form a seal. The knife gate is the core component of the slurry valve, used to cut off or flow fluid. The valve stem is a component used to connect the knife gate and the handle or driving device, and is used to manipulate the movement of the knife gate. Seals are components used to prevent fluid leakage.

The working principle of the slurry valve is as follows:

1. When the valve is closed, the knife gate moves downward under the drive of the valve stem, tightly fitting with the valve seat to prevent fluid from passing through.

2. When the valve is opened, the knife gate moves upward under the drive of the valve stem, forming a gap between it and the valve seat, through which fluid can flow.
